Your monthly housing allowance paid to a student  under the Post 911 GI Bill is a great question.  The answer tp your question is that you receive a Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) equal to that of an E-5 with dependents.  The actual amount will be calculated by the zip code for the location of the school you choose to attend to earn your degree.  A chart of BAH rates by ZIP code can be found at http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/perdiem/bah.html.
