Default Who needs that much velcro?

Why would anyone need that much velcro? These guys sell it by the roll http://www.liangdianup.com/miscellaneous_1.htm and is
hook and look and velcro the same thing?

"Velcro" is a brand name for "hook and loop." Just like "band-aid" has become synonomous for adhesive bandages.

As for why someone would need that much, I'm sure there is a need somewhere.

I imagine that the primary market includes crafty types who make lots of things that require a bit of Velcro per item. Some of the craft-loving women I know could easily go through a whole roll of Velcro in just a few weeks depending on the project.
