I'm sure everyone has seen the video of shoes being thrown at our President, but here's a few questions about the incident that come to mind. Who was in charge of security and why did that second shoe even make it to our President? Why didn't Stinkfoot Achmed have two rounds 'center mass' before the first shoe even got to our President, let alone throwing a second one? My guess is that someone made a big 'boo-boo', either our Military Police and/or the Secret Service. I'm betting no Christmas bonus this year and wonder if someone's looking for a new job?

The SS really had their heads up the dark tunnel. Talk about slow reactions, no one scanning the room. They probably thought all was ok as people and equipment was probably searched before entering the room. That's what happens when you think things are ok.

Yeah I'm pretty baffled too. Abdul would have had a baton to the head if I had been close enough.

I was really wondering about that.

In my experience with CP (Very limited) as soon as buddy stood up, eyes would be on the potential threat.

As soon as he was seen reaching, main detail moves in to protect primary, either with hands on, or weapons drawn, as threat dictates. Secondaries of the detail go after and isolate the threat, while main detail gets primary off the X.

Notice that after the shoe was thrown, there wasn't a noticeable change in security around the POTUS?

I must admit that our President has some nice "bobs and weaves". On the other hand, he shouldn't have to dodge two shoes or even one. Thankfully, it was just a shoe and not a grenade or bullet.

Maybe Obama will have a plastic bubble to walk into when he does press conferences...the shoes will bounce right off!

Nah, he'll just use "the force" to sling them out of the way. Plus, given his rockstar status, he'll probably be dodging womens underwear and babies.

Actually, Michelle would repel them by providing a visually incapacitating wardrobe. You can't throw if you can't see..and don't forget the family attack dog!

Nobody will be standing when the Messiah enters a room. Everyone will be lying prostrate on the ground, due to his mere presence. Difficult to throw a shoe....let alone anything else from that position.
