Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat

Well, most of the cadets you will find here at the moment are JROTC'ers, but there are a few other ROTC guys around, plus an academy cadet also. But welcome my good man to our little community! It will be nice to have some more insight from the group directly above our own.

I think ROTC is a great program to do in college. I plan on going through Army ROTC once I graduate and get stationed at a unit.

As an Air Guard Senior NCO and First Sergeant, I used to work with my local AFROTC Unit. We used to have a round table discussion on what these new officers could expect from the SNCO beneath them. That was always a lecture that was well attended by the graduating Seniors. I sure hope they got some useful info from me.

I also used to PT with them once a week so they would get to know me. That was a lot of fun. Most of the Staff from Active Duty was closer to their age, so to have another OLD Man other than the Commander was interesting to them. I wish more SNCO's would volunteer to assist these units!
