I've heard a lot about it on this website but I never knew what it really is all about. Could someone please enlighten me?

Not until you do a bit of research on your own. A session with your search engine of choice will provide some enlightenment. Asking a question such as this without doing your own research is the same as asking us to do your homework for you and we do not do that.
