Thank you for your wish to Serve this Country. I hope your training goes well and that you learn to the best of your ability. Strive to be the best in all that you do. Excel where you can and improve in those areas that you are lacking. Doing this will make you a fine example of an American Fighting Man.

Good to hear my friend. I wish you well on your endeavors and thank you in advance for serving. Some day here I may do the same, for the Army, if I cannot get into West Point.

Glad to see another one of the members of Grunts has decided to go with MOS 31 Bravo, aka MP. I hope your training goes well, feel free to hit me up with any ?'s you may have, I'm not a recruiter, I don't lie, I'll tell you like it is/was for me. Anywho, good luck.

Delta, why do you want to be an MP? Are you just interested in the job, or do you happen to know someone who is currently an MP? Just curious...

I'm not sure of Delta's reasons, but I'll list mine here.

** My choices were between Combat Medic or Military Police Officer. I had a horrid time choosing between the two.
** My cousins (two) named Seth and Shane were both enlisted in the Maine ARNG as MP's.
** My Cousin Shane had told me what it was like first hand over seas as an MP, so I knew about it when and if I got deployed
** ASVAB and Line scores, is what narrowed it down the most, my Line Scores were better and I was better qualified for MP, then Medic.

Cool Why?

I've always wanted to be in law enforcement and need a way to help pay for college. So I figure, hey why not kill two birds with one stone. I've also always been fond of the Army.

Be Advised, don't just join MP because you think you'll get to pay for college. When you enlist under MOS 31 Bravo, there is always risk of deployment. I personally went to and still go to college online-BA in Crim Justice CSI, and Associates in Medical Assisting, at Kaplan University, along with a certificate in forensics from Stratford career institute. You can and very well may deploy as a 31 Bravo during your enlistment, don't join for the money, join to Serve. Join to Serve your Country, and at an advantage pay for college, and education. What exactly do you want to do in LE? I personally want to start in Juvenile Corrections, and work my way to CSI, Mounted Patrol or K-9. I very well may also stick with Corrections though-start young, join programs like Police Explorers, and you will be at an advantage for when you go through Basic and Advanced Training, along with when you join a department. Just my advice.
