Talking Up and on the new forum

Hi,
I figured I would reintroduce myself too. Much has changed about me anyways since I introduced myself last time. I'm currently a C/Col in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program. Unfortunately this is only for about six months until I become a Senior Member Captain, but such is life and turning 21. I have been a CAP member for over five years. This year is easily the highlight of my cadet career, as I am a Primary on National Cadet Advisory Council for the 08'-09' term!! Check us out at www.ncac.us . I've also attended a handful of NCSA's, am a Mission Pilot, Ground Branch Director, Air Ops Branch Director, and pretty much anything else related to CAP. What can I say, its my life!

In real life, I'm a senior at the University of North Dakota majoring in Commercial Aviation. I am just finishing up my Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and currently hold Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Instrument Commercial ratings. I'm also active in Women in Aviaiton, EAA, and a variety of other activities on campus.

Default The Fighting Sioux!

Nice to see another person on this Board from North Dakota, where the State Tree is a Telephone Pole! I was a student and Adjunct Professor in the History and Humanities Department for some three years in the late '70s. Was also a member of the University Curriculum Committee, and saw the program that you're in take shape. Reading the magazines that my wife (also a doctoral candidate at the time) and I receive regularly from Grand Forks it's obvious that the program has been a real star in the crown of UND. We lived at 902 Stanford, and should you drive by that place, please tip your hat.

Do the Grad Students and Profs still assemble at the Pub Down Under (the Chinese Restaurant) on Friday afternoons? We do miss that place and the students and professors with whom we associated. Semper Fidelis, ramrod23, Ph.D. 1968 (GWU) and 1978 (UND).

Hi,
The Shangri La which was the Chinese restaurant was is and has been no more for about 2-3 years now. The pub Down UNDer is still there though. Yup, state tree is definately the telephone pole. The wind never seems to stop blowing either. I live right across from Stanford. I live in University Place (on University Ave.) which replaced a bunch of old appartments last year.
