Default Service Birthdays

Reading the thread about the Marine Corps birthday gave me the idea about listing out all the different service birthdates:

United States Army: June 14, 1775

United States Navy: October 13, 1775

United States Marine Corps: November 10, 1775

United States Coast Guard: August 4, 1790

Civil Air Patrol: December 1, 1941

United States Air Force: September 18, 1947

Army National Guard: December 13, 1636 (no...not a mistype)

Air National Guard: September 18, 1947 (same act that created the Air Force created the Air Guard)

This page shows the historical development of the National Guard from its roots until the modern day: http://www.ngb.army.mil/About/default.aspx

I found it to be very informative!
