Default Competition food

Is it just me or do the hamburgers at every competition you go to taste exactly the same? Do the competion hosts get the patties from governement surplus program? Just a wierd thought that I wanted some opinions on.

Hahaha, I never thought of that but you do make a point. While we're talking about competition food can I ask you guys a question? At competitions I've attended there have always's been a First Sergeant or a Colonel(no other ranks) making Hot Wings. I find that real wierd. Have you guyd ever seen that.

Its because for events as large as competitions, they all buy surplus frozen patties. There are only so many companies that make these and only so many ways a frozen block of beef can taste. And yeah, they all taste exactly the same lol.

My high school usees the same Hamburger patties that we get at Competitions. My unit just decided to bring sandwich making material last year. It is cheap and it is not as bad for you. I wish we could buy MRE's at competitions or something along that nature.

You're better off with burgers or sandwiches, they don't give you that boulder sized lump in your stomach.

Our SGM always brings us his famous "Sergent Major Subs," haha. He says they're the better, tastier, healthier and more tastful food to eat at competitions whether drill or raiders. But yea I did try one of those burgers on my first competition last year, and it tasted exactly like the ones you get for free at community get togethers and stuff.
