Default Meddling SAI

My SAI meddles in my personal life. Here is a great example, On Friday I was hanging out with some of my friends(they're not in JROTC), and we where doing some stupid things and he came down the hall and grabbed me and told all the staff and leaders to come to the classroom after school. I got a text during class from my friend and our XO and he told me we're going to be on suspension. So I went to the meeting and he called me up and said" I'm the best example, he get's ISS, is always tardy, his friends are in AJROTC, and his girlfriend is disgraceful." I thought that was very rude, he id it to all of us and told us to get our act together or else we get demoted down to PVT2(E-2). I am late because my teachers have me run errands for them and they won't give me a pass, and I had ISS on Thursday for tardies.

It's called "Intrusive Leadership." It's designed so that if your boss is intimately familiar with your personal life he can stop personal problems from becoming work problems. It can be a bother, but from the "military's" standpoint, it's a good thing. Like it or not, it's here to stay....

I know your right, I jsut thought he was a little out of line. I don't get into any trouble. My Platoon Sergeants at JCLC told me that I'm the perfect cadet, I try. I was just astonishedby this though.

Your personal life and your school life are two different things my friend. If you were doing stupid things in the hall, then he has every right as not only an AJROTC instructor, but a teacher, to do as he pleases within school boundaries (in terms of "meddling").

And if a teacher needs you to run an errand, don't unless they give you a pass, that's common sense and its not really an excuse to be late to class or class's, especially enough to earn you a day in ISS.

Well my AI kind of does the same thing. He makes sure we stay out of trouble. I do however think that the comment he used was very rude. As for the lateness I recommend you get passes from your teachers that way you can't get in trouble for it. As for your girlfriend, I really don't know her or what he means by "disgraceful." However if she is disrespectful towards the program then i suggest you just kindly tell her to stop because you are the one getting in trouble for it.

Well, she is not disrespectful or anything but she is loud, but everybody in my unit loves her. My BNCO called her a "Ghettoo Hoodrat",(that cracked me up). She only calls her that because of where she lives, it's nothing mean. I have been fixing the Late Pass thing, it's working out real good. Our SAI called us into another meeting and called me up and gave me a hug and told me he was sorry, he said his PTS was messing with him. He's a good guy and I really like him. I love my AI like my father though.

My captain would cry if a cadet ever hugged him, and I would know i have tried and he looked like I was gonna rape him.

Oddly enough, most of their generation is like that.

I am glad to hear that your SAI apologized and that you are getting your problems straightened out.

Thank you. My big brother(not really he's just a really good friend, he's like a borither to me). He came and visisted today and it was weird he didn't even shake hands he only knodded his head. I found that real wierd, He's 2nd infantry division. He is being stationed at Fort Lewis in Seattle.
