Hello all,
Just a quick question in regards to the book stipend - is it given in a lump sum or do we need to provide text book receipts and other paperwork to receive the stipend? and if it's given in lump sum, when does usually go through? I only ask because I've already received my first Stipend on 01OCT08. Just want to make sure I'm making full use of what I'm offered. Thanks for any information. |

I am assuming you have a scholarship, if that is the case, then your book stipend will be a one time a semester check.
From everything I can find on the web, the book stipend is $900 per year, so I would expect you to get a check each semester. Now, this is different from your monthly stipend that you get for just being a contracted Cadet. |

It comes in a lump sum. $600 a semester now. If your books don't cost that much then the rest you can just pocket.
