Default My Thanks

Hello, I am user armyman223, formally cadet#67. I would like to render my most sincere thanks to all of those in this forum who have influenced and developed me on this forum. At the time I did not always understand what the big deal about the correct usage of the english language was or how important it is to research petty questions before seeking the advice of more experienced persons. Now I realize that good leaders must be the upmost professionals in all aspects of their lives and must also be able to rely on themselves in finding the "correct answer" in the most difficult situations. Currently I am a cadet at Marion Military Institute, and as such, the knowledge and personal development I have obtained here have helped me tremendously in my studies and growth as a leader. Once again, thank all of you very much for your time and words of wisdom, and I hope that as a member here I can be further molded into a better leader and person.

There are many times in one's Military Career that THEY will have to find the answers for themselves. There won't be the Old Sarge to ask, THEY will be that Old Sarge or Young Officer being asked those questions. Our people deserve the correct and proper answers to their questions. There are many times where "WE" won't have the answer and it is those times where we will need to be dutiful, and get our people the right answer.

Many here can cite chapter and verse and we are a treasure trove of information and experience. But that came from our own learning and searching for that information and knowledge. To give that away freely teaches the person asking nothing accept how to be reliant on someone else. Is it not better to be self-reliant?

Good Luck in your Studies.
