Default Custom Walking Stick

My father just got home today and brought back something he had custom made for his father. It's a walking stick that chronicles his time in the Navy, all hand carved and includes representations of both carriers and all 4 destroyers my grandfather served on. It really is quite the craftsmanship. I'm attaching pictures for everyone to check out.

That's amazing. Is that the destroyers I see carved into it?

That's pretty slick. Good idea on how to commemorate a career.

It certainly is. The first picture has the destroyers while the fourth has the aircraft carriers.

SoccerMark, what kind of wood is that walking stick made out of?

Honestly I have absolutely no idea, my dad doesn't know either. If he talks to the guy who made it I'll have him find out.

Correct that, I was just informed the type of wood is Swamp Ash.
