I don't know what AFJROTC regulations look like, but if they're anything like that of CAP - it's pretty clear. Outside? Wear your cover.

You wear your cover, if the wind is too strong and your cover will fly off your head into oblivion, I think it would be OK to restrain it with your hand, or if its a hurricane or something of that nature I think you could take it off lol. No, but really, just wear it, the wind shouldn't be THAT bad, and if you have to, talk with your SASI about a "no hat zone." SASIs, along with the principal, can establish "no hat zones" on school property if warranted, and if your stadium is really prone to wind, you could probably work it in. All they need to do is request it from HQ, your SASI will know.

Consider potentially using Bobby Pins to get it to stay on your head. Also, if JROTC Regulations allow, the officers cap may stay on better.

Unless you have a no hat zone established or you are inside of doors, keep it on.

Hehe sorry if I'm off topic here, but this reminds me of a time when my NSCC squadron was on a pretty fast ferry and one of our Leaguers (junior cadets) got his cover blown overboard...

We were allowed to take them off afterwards.

Yea it's always just a good rule of thumb to check with the SASI. If you can't find them just follow the CoC. But I'm sure you already knew that lol.

Well, the way I see it is unless you're on the deck of a ship or under some sort of structure, you wear your cover outside.

Nobody really cares how "you see it." Cadets, I am tired of reminding you of this. There are governing directives that tell you when, where, and how to wear the uniform. Compliance with those governing directives is NOT optional. I strongly recommend that you learn that. We DO NOT deal in "I thinks."
