Hopefully Obama won't come out of the TV after the election like in the Ring...

"He's heeerreeee!" (Obama comes out smiling and waving)

I've seen the channel. I haven't watched it...just the sound of his voice makes me angry.

That glue-on smile gives me the heebies. And there's no amount of anything that anyone could pay me to watch, even skip over that channel... when I got to channel 72, I'd enter 74 just so I wouldn't have the probability of seeing him

Question:

You all obviously believe that Obama isn't right for this country.....Do you think that McCain is equally unfit, or that he is right for the job? And Why?

(I am not an Obama supporter, but I am anti-McCain, so you won't offend me with your opinions and you can be specific)

I think McCain deserves to be President more than Obama does, since he gave more for his country. I think he's very strong on foreign policy but I'm not completely convinced that he has a strong handle on the economy. Also, I personally favor McCain because of his stance on the traditional definition of marriage and pro-life stance.

Well said, I completely agree. McCain has given more for his country than Obama in terms of military service and willing to give the ultimate sacrifice.

But what if I told you that McCain isn't necessarily pro-traditional marriage? That he flops back and forth according to the group of people that he is speaking to? (Granted, this is what most politicians do, anything to get the vote, right?)

I witnessed an open mic convo slipup from the Today Show with Jon Stewart where McCain said that he thought men and women's 'business' is their own, they can marry whomever they want. (I tried to go find the video, but it is rumored that the McCain videos are being taken off the internet because there used to be DOZENS of clips to be found and now there are only a handful. So much for the freedom of speech.) The very next day, and I mean, the VERY next day, he said that he believed marriage should be bewteen a man and women.

So I ask you......are you SURE that McCain will back traditional marriage all the way through the law-creating process? Or if public opinion starts to float the other way, will he back off and ignore it, like he is ignoring speaking about the economy issues we are facing?

No point in arguing (debating) this point because we'll just be going around in circles, but my research tells me obama would be... Let's just say if you think certain of your freedoms are being infringed upon now and that the money you make now doesn't go far, just wait and see what "barry" and his crew have in store for the United States if elected. Do I agree with all that Sen. McCain has to say or everything he supports? No, but looking at the background of he and obama, the choice is clear. At least from my perspective. (And before being pegged a racist because I don't support barry, my wife is Jewish and I have two Black nieces.)

No, I'm not sure. Can you be sure of anything with either candidate? They could go back on their promises the minute they're inaugurated and there's nothing I can do about it. My obligation as a voter is to make an educated guess, a hypothesis if you will. We're electing a human being to lead human beings, and while we like to think people have good intentions, the candidates can be just as sneaky and cynical as the rest of us. So again, I have no idea that McCain will hold that position of traditional marriage. All I know is that he says he will, and I have to take him for his word (along with his record).
