Cadet Protection Policy

Cadet Protection Policy for the Cadet Membership of Grunt’s Military Forum:

Cadets, specifically those in JROTC, CAP, Young Marines, Naval Sea Cadet Corps, or similar programs, the following detail the minimum requirements of the Cadet Protection Policy (CPP). This policy does not apply to ROTC or Service Academy Cadets/Midshipmen. However, it is highly recommended that you take similar precautions. These requirements are not designed to inhibit the free exchange of ideas, but to guide you in protecting yourself.

1. Do not post any items that include your name, school, city, or corps. This includes signature graphics. This also applies to profiles

2. Your displayed screen name may not be some form of your name. If it looks like a name, you will be asked to PM Grunt to change it. This request is not optional and your continued ability to participate will be discussed by the staff.

3. You may post pictures with the following restrictions: Names of cadets, schools, etc must be masked. In addition, faces must be blurred to preclude identification of individual cadets.

4. Harassment/hazing will not be tolerated by the staff. Any cadet participating in the harassment/hazing of another will be summarily banned.

This list may be added to as required or as situations arise. A regular review is recommended.

Keep in mind that the real world is a lot different from your high school world and it is a dangerous place. Protect yourself by keeping as much of your information private as possible. If you have a problem, please ask for help. Seek the guidance of your parents, your clergy, a school counselor, or other trusted adult.
