Default New NCSA's

CAP Cadets: What would you like to see added to the NCSA list?

Currently, NCAC is looking at a new activity that would involve vertical wind tunnels. We are also looking at adding military summer seminars and UND Aerospace Summer Camp to the list of activities for NCSA credit.

Default New NCSA

I am fairly new to CAP, i am just about to take my Wright Brothers achievement. I do not really know of any other NCSA's that could be added, but i was curious about some of the NCSA's that the cadets in this forum have participated in. I have not participated in any yet, but i am planning on going to Honor Guard Academy, The Flight Academy, The National Blue Beret, and Hawk Mountain Ranger School.

I recall this discussion coming up on a CAP forum I frequent, and one big thing I remember (and would like to see myself) is a Security Forces-themed activity. Not everyone's full-on gung-ho for aerospace camps and flight orientation programs (despite this being the CAP).

I'm a firm believer that one of the main purposes of CAP NCSA's should be to familiarize Cadets with different aspects of the Air Force (except for those that are CAP ES or Leadership based [i.e. HMRS, NESA, NGSAR, COS, NCC etc.]). At the moment, we only have four that serve that purpose (SUPT-FC, PJOC, AFSC-FC and AFCE Orientation). I don't mean to say this in a rude manner, but I'd personally like to see "Aviation Challenge", "EAA Air Academy" and "Space Camp" removed in favor of more USAF-minded things.

YMMV.

Like EODFC (Explosive Ordinance Disposal Familiarization Course) - Now THAT would be an interesting "summer camp."
