When will they go into service? Are those in the picture the all of the new uniforms? I prefer the current uniforms. The current uniforms offer more of a variety and are better looking, in my opinion. No offense to anyone.

I honestly think it does look kinda decent. Though I have have never been in the navy myself, my uncle has, and he has been raving on about the uniforms that they used to wear 30 years ago.

Then again, his main uniform was a flight suit, not the whites.

Images of the new Naval uniforms have been going around for a while, they are transitioning to a new service uniform, khaki shirt, black pants, and a black garrison cap.

They are also going to a new utility uniform, the Naval Working Uniform. Its kind of like BDUs, but in an ACU pattern, but blue and grey. See the link below if that didn't make any sense...

Officers are getting a new dress uniform, very similar to the Khakis from the WWII era.

Enlisted dress uniforms, 'Crackerjacks', are being modified to be more 'traditional', with the reintroduction of bell bottom pants and a few other features.

I love those sites you enclosed. Could you post the website? The permanent Crease's are really not Permanent, they have a fishing line"plastic wire" sewn in. It's real good, there is only one problem though you cannot crease at the Last minute, the line melts.

How do you know they're not permanent? Did Navy Personnel Command lie to us in the photos? By the way, you don't take out fishing line creases, so for all intensive purposes, they're permanent...unless you buy a new shirt.

I can't wait for the NWU's to come out. Not that I'm not proud of my uniform or anything, but I'd take those over dungarees any day.

They are permanent to a certain extent. They do require a little bit of ironing to make them look better than they would if you just grabbed it from the dryer. You can Iron the fishing line down straight but it will look ike a egg popped where the Crease was.

What I meant by permanent is that you're never getting that line separated from the shirt once the creases are made. In case, for example, you mess up the crease when you first do it. Anyway, this topic should get back on track. If somebody wants to go ahead and make a separate thread about this particular uniform question, that might be good.
