I'll be leaving for basic soon, hopefully before the end of this year. But the job I chose not only sounds amazing, but from what I could find, sounds like it'll have alot of work to it, but that it could be pretty enjoyable in my interests. When my recruiter told me that Cavalry Scout(19D) was on my list I flipped because all my JROTC buddies was going on about it how they'd love to have it, etc. So, can anyone root me or tell me anything more about this MOS?

Just so I understand clearly...you are saying that you signed up to be a 19D Cav Scout without really knowing what they do?
Please tell me I am wrong. |

Well of course your wrong, I did do some research before I signed. I just wanted to see if I can get any other information, videos, or discussions about the Cav Scouts

Here are some links I found.
http://www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=39 http://www.cavhooah.com/cavalry_scout.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llt9_dxcg9Q http://www.army.com/MOS/mos-19d-calvary-scout.html Cav Scouts, much like Infantrymen have a whole host of tasks they must be able to do, and then could find themselves doing something totally different depending on the mission. Oh...and it is "you're" not "your". |
