This is just a horrible story. The friend who e-mailed it to me tried to track down Mr. Whitlow to try and help send him some money to offset the repair costs, but apparently the school is now paying for the vehicle to be fixed. An Army Reserves sergeant studying at Dallas Baptist University was surprised this week to find the message "soldiers are murderers" spray painted on his Jeep Wrangler.

Viktow Whitlow, a junior, had parked his Jeep on the campus at about 2 a.m. Wednesday and returned hours later to find his vehicle's tires had been flattened, the seats slashed and "soldiers are murderers" spray painted in red across the hood.

"It's disheartening to be honest with you," he said. "It's shocking that somebody would write something like that. It just makes me speechless."

Mr. Whitlow, who recently spent two tours in Balad, Iraq, said he has no idea who vandalized his Jeep or why he was targeted.

"I actually worked in a medical treatment facility and we actually saved lives instead of taking them," he said.

Dallas Baptist University is a private liberal arts campus in southwestern Dallas.

"We're surprised, and it causes us to think that this isn't one of our students because it's so out of character," said Mark Hale, dean of students.

While Mr. Whitlow does have insurance, he said he will have to borrow transportation until repairs are made. Damage was estimated at $7,000.

Unable to engage Mr. Whitlow in a debate, or to simply have a lively political discussion, the 'perps' took the cowardly approach. Typical. We had a leftist screamer in a political science class I attended one semester. Her shrieking and gnashing of teeth had me seriously contemplating leaning over (She sat two chairs away from me) and setting her hair on fire with my zippo. Don't think for a moment that the far left has gone underground....to the contrary....they're starting to show up just about everywhere now.

You would hope that the country and the liberals had learned their lesson after the return of the Marines from Vietnam when they were called baby killers by the hippies and radical liberals. This is such a disrespect to the country and our military.
