1.) Relax
2.) Tell straight, truthful answers. Do NOT blow smoke. After a certain point in your military career you can tell when someone is just telling you the "right" answer but doesn't believe it. (Or just pulling something out of their fourth point of contact.) 3.) I would recommend you dress in a "business casual" type outfit. If you go in shorts and t-shirt, they will probably not take you seriously. If you go in a suit and tie...they will see it as overkill. Those are the only things I can think of off the top of my head. |

Stay cool and collect. Speak without using any slang at all, its just not good form. Say what you mean, and mean what you say.
Just go in, give it your best shot, and good luck.

If you go in uniform, then you need to report in to the head of the board and be as formal as you can be. You will not only be representing yourself, but your school, and your JROTC program as well.
I would recommend that you take a change of clothes, but if you can't then just be prepared to answer more questions about your JROTC experience then you were probably expecting. |

Can someone please explain to me the purpose of a ROTC interview? I have a feeling it has something to do with being accepted into the program. Thanks........

As I said some place else, ROTC is just another college course you sign up for during your Freshman and Sophmore year. Only during your Junior and Senior year does it require instructor approval to sign up for the MS III and MS IV classes. (You have to be a contracted cadet to sign up for those classes.) |

Very well, he told me that if for some reason i am not sent a letter of acceptance for the National 4 year ROTC scholarship, to come back and see him, and he will award me the Georgia Southern Campus ROTC Scholarship.
