Default I've seen...

A lot of cool graphics that people put as their signatures in the threads. Can anyone explain to me how to do that, all of these look really cool and interesting and i wanna learn how to do that. I've tried to do it in paint but i cant ever do it

What kinds of graphics? Like signature types with names and a picture in the background, or something like the ribbon racks that some people wear in their signatures? Or a little of both (or a lot of both I don't know...)?

A little bit of both really.. Like I don't get how they get the picture in the backround and then they get like smaller graphics that show stuff such as rank and rounded items without the white backround part around it showing up

Well, the ribbon racks I've already built a few but i don't like them because they dont show alllll of my ribbons such as certain summer camp ribbons and raider attendance so its kinda pointless because those are the ribbons i take the most pride in.

I use paint to fill in the background and then use Microsoft Word to put several pictures together. My signature is just two pictures grouped together then copied into a photo editing program and saved as a jpeg.

My signature comes from a commercial website, unfortunately they don't do JROTC awards.

As far as designing your own, if you use something like Photoshop you should be able to make your backgrounds for things that aren't a perfect rectangle transparent and layer everything so it looks right.

there is also a freeware program called Artweaver that I have started playing with that is very similar to Photoshop.
