Default Cadet Moderators?

I believe that there should be some slight (perhaps even a grain?) of thought into promoting high-achieving Cadets into a moderator position. Why? Well, would take a lot of stress off of the adult moderators, who have to moderate the adult forum as well, and it would be valuable leadership experience for the Cadets. As well, I feel that some of the Cadets respond better to being corrected by a fellow Cadet than being called out by an adult (yeah, I know its discipline, I still think that most take Cadet - on - Cadet discipline rather than Adult - on Cadet.) It would be policing our own, and I'm sure that there are more than enough Cadets here that can handle it. (coughTruBlucough).

I do believe this is being discussed already--but you may want to ask this one to Philk or ArmySc

Actually, there's two people who have moderator ability on both sides of the forum, and I'm not one of them. LOL

The thought's come up a time or two, I guess it's more figuring out who at this point than anything else.

I support this. I can't remember the name, but there was one cadet here from Annapolis a while back. Someone like that (not just that particular academy) would be good as a moderator and like was said, it would be great experience for them. MOM votes yes.

Kamikaze.

Wonder what happened to him. After he made Ensign he disappeared.

I believe he is out somewhere on some surface craft. It has been a long time since we heard from him.

Kamikazi is home ported out of San Diego which is very good for him because it is close to his parents. I do believe he is on a Missile Cruiser and at last I heard is living large and loving it. I am pretty sure his younger brother graduated from Annapolis this year also. I've not heard what his duty assignment is going to be.

From the start of this Cadet Forum, we HAVE chosen Cadets to lead the way here. They are carefully vetted, watched closely and mentored in their roles. BillyD has done a fine job along with the other Cadet Mods in the selection of these Cadet Mods.

Top,

Good to see the MODs back in control and cleaning up the stables. I hope with a bit of tact we can get back to an enjoyable forum to live in and for others to visit. I support 100% the requirement for good grammar, spelling, and thoughtful postings.
