We're currently in the process of making a website for our JROTC program.
If you don't mind, anyone that has the time, would you please send me some suggestions on what we can do to make a great website beyond the general stuff to put on websites. Thank you

Cadet,
You have been informed that you need to change your screen name by your fellow cadet. Please contact Grunt via PM TODAY to change it.

In my opinion, and sorry I don't have anything to show for it as my unit is also developing it's website at the moment, a great unit website is one that is interactive and informative. Include .PDFs or other types of documents that cadets can download directly for convenience (like forms, manuals, regulations, etc.). Have bios of your instructors so that cadets are informed as to who their instructors are and what they have done. Maybe include bios of top cadets and leaders. Most definitely include your units COC and other pertinent AFJRTOC data. Lastly, make it interactive (pictures, audio, video, and even a forum if its available).
I hope this helps you out.

My CAP Squadron has their own Myspace. I think its good because anyone (every user on Myspace) can stumble across it and read it..........

My units website hasn't been updated in a few years but it does have all of the ranks, ribbons, etc. that cadets can look at. As well as a full Microsoft Word document of our UMD. However it does not have an up to date CoC. It still has our ASI listed as the one we had two years and two ASI's ago. But if you would like I can PM the link to you.

Wow, thank you... A Facebook page might be a good idea to. For a website it should be useful for your cadets, lots of downloads and utilities the can help the cadets. It should also have some information for prospective cadets.

My old unit has its own myspace...
It simple, easy, effective...You can also try out Xanga.com. It eliminates the hassle of having to due all this html, pay for the server, etc. Storm

You can always put up a link to the D&C Manual. You can find the Army one at http://rotc.okstate.edu/pdf/FM%203-2...20Ceremony.pdf
