Has anyone heard of this competition? My ASI told us about it today. I think it looks pretty cool.

I hadn't heard about this, read through the PP and it's pretty cool. Will show this to my ASI.

Funny you bring this up now, I just heard about this competition a few days ago also. My school will be organizing a team for next year's competition, which should be pretty interesting because we've got some pretty network savvy people on it. I'm really interested in how it actually works, what equipment we will be running, and what our goals actually are.

So, if I understand this correctly..what it is, is one team pretty much tries to attack your network, and your goal is to stop them?

From what I've heard so far, there is a 'blue' team and 'red' team, and they alternate attacking a network and defending a network from each other. You are awarded points from a server within the network you are attacking or defending, but I have no idea how they are earned or distributed. I'm going to look into this a little deeper and find out some better info.

I went and talked to my SASI about it today, and turned out he had already heard about it and was going to talk to us about it soon - but I beat him to it. So we're most likely going to form a team....now all that's left is to figure out how it's played haha.

D'oh!

If I had seen this, I wouldn't have posted the thread I did last night. My apologies for a double-tap.
