I watched that HBO movie last night.

OUTSTANDING!

So much better than I thought it would be. Yes, there were details amiss, but all in all a movie that shows the respect and love we show our fallen Marines and military.

If you have not seen it, I would recommend you give it a try. It should be on HBO all this week and for about a month. Check your local listings.

I saw the premier here on base when Kevin Bacon, the real Lt. Col Mike Stroble USMC (Ret.), and Chance Phelps' parents attended to promote the film. I'd call it an outstanding film but labelling it with that understatement would truly be an insult. How does the word "compelling" sound?

I've heard wonderful things about it! I don't have HBO although I'm sure there are other ways to get my hands on it I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
