Default One for the Navy

He just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day, 5, 10 minutes late. But he was a good worker, real sharp, so the Boss was in a quandary about what to do about it. Finally, one day he called him into the office for a talk.

"Bill, I have to tell you, I like your work ethics, but your being late often is bothersome.'

"Yes, I know Boss, and I`m working on it."

"Well good. That`s what I like to hear. It`s odd though, your coming in late. I know you`re retired from the Navy. What did they say if you came in late there?"

"They said, "Good morning, Chief."

Default What's an Ossifer's favorite answer to any question?

"Ask the Chief!"

The Chief is the Voice of GOD. And I should know, Dad retired as a Master Chief, and Mom retired as a Chief.

But I'll lay even odds that the Master Chief snapped to when the Chief spoke

So, let me ask, do you call them "Mom and Dad" or "Chief and Master Chief?"

(Just asking, sometimes I'll call my Dad sergeant to bust his balls. )

Billy...he still does, even after ten years retirement!

Ivan, when we were both in, if we met in uniform, I showed every military courtesy, right up until he ordered me to "Knock that sh*t off, boy!" at which point I reverted to the standard Dad.
