Hello,

I have noticed that the lag time between screens is very long... sometimes taking upwards of 45 seconds to a minute. I have a decent computer, so I know that it is not on my end. Anyone else have the problem?

I have also had the same problem, but I guess they will get it figured out.

This has been noted.

This was just but one of the reasons that a decision was made to PURCHASE Software to run the forum, rather than to rely on open source coding for the forum.

Along with this, a Server change might also be in the offering to help speed things along. Believe me...It's MUCH better than what it was back in the Summer with no one on!

Yes its deadly at times, but it depends on time of day as well.

The old forum was that slow I couldn't post on it in the end, it just timed out.

I am guessing I will Be limited on this as well

Your problem(s) could be due to a lack of memory being available.

Yes, the time of day seems to matter in determining the performance of the forum. I'm working to try and find a new server for the site which should dramatically increase performance. Unfortunately this won't happen overnight, but it's painfully obvious to me that we need to upgrade our server hardware to accommodate increasing demand.

I'll keep everyone updated, thanks!

Thanks for going 'above and beyond' all these years, chief. Although no computer maven, I know that a multitude of things can effect loading times - some under our control, some not. Not that it would help, but perhaps we need to tell Algore that he could have done a better job when he 'invented' the internet.

Thanks Devil Dog(I am a former 0331 and 0352)! My goal is to pull 30, so I have only 12 more to go! (not quite a chief yet though. I am anticipating tacking on E7 very early next year!). Your right... Al Gore could have done a better job, but I can see how all those poor drowning polar bears would have distracted his attention.
