Default 174FW's Last Deployment with the venerable F-16



The New York Air Nation Guard's 174FW is currently returning from their AEF Cycle and will mark the LAST time they will do so with the venerable F-16 Fighting Falcon Aircraft. The 174th will be in conversion to the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft system.

During my tenure with this Unit, we flew A-10's, F16 A models that we took to Desert Storm, and then the F-16C models shown in the picture above.

This will mark the second time that this Unit will receive new Aircraft from the factory floor and will be one of the few Air Guard Units with this mission.

I wish my old Unit well! Thank you for your Service, and Thank you for the memories!
