Default There is a new JROTC community in town!

You all know NHSDC (Drill Nationals.) Well now they came up with their own online community. They have every high school who has ever attended registered there. I just joined and it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately it is still new and has few members. Why not go there and check it out? The website is
http://drillnation.net
Hope to see you there soon, my nickname on that site is Seifer93 if you would like to add me to your friend's list.

I am already on. I hate it it is so horrible. Everyone on that forum put down Grunts, all they care about is Drill. Grunts is more than that. It is a place where you can go to talk to friends, to get advice and just shoot the breeze(with proper grammar and spelling and without violating CPP).

I signed into the site (their's) for the first time since I registered, and read the thread specifically putting down our site. Before reading that thread, everyone that is in there "whining" (putting it kindly) was just a "handle" which portrayed an online identity. Now, because of their lack of standard to protect the identity of minors in today's world, I have names of everyone. Point A: They could care less whether or not people get your name, which to me is kinda important... I don't like everyone and their mother to have access to my identity.

I like how most everyone who has posted in that thread is an "Advanced Member" of their forums. Seems to me they got their priorities straight...

Next, I'd like to thank a David Bauer (who on his profile picture is seen bent over with his rear end to the camera... great way to show your a...) for mentioning the comments of myself and Soccermark23 in their thread:
Quote:
Apparently it is wrong to quote your instructor because that means you claim the rank that your instructor has; here is a link Grunts craziness The thread also degrades "jrotc kids" on the second page. This is so amazing!!!
The thread they are alluding to was in no way stating that I was telling Drill that he was claiming the rank of his instructor, I merely told him to not throw "degrading" comments about commissioned officers that he's not in a position to make (and should that be seen as someone not being able to quote their instructors, well that's their problem).

And lastly, I'd like to acknowledge their lack of respect for someone I have respect for, BillyD. Ya, he may come across as tough sometimes, but the longer I've been in these forums the more I understand him and his methods.

All I have left to say is this: That place isn't worth the time and effort of registering in my overrated opinion. Step lightly, and whatever you do, don't grace their forums with a positive opinion of the Grunt Forum (hence the reason I don't publicly shoot them all down there).

Exactly...Let them talk about us and let us just keep our mouths shut. Let's not sink down to there level. I have found some good info on there though. I just don't like the layout or the color scheme(makes it look like a little kid did it).

I am done with this thread there is no more I need to add(or want to).

I just want to say some of the people on that forum are very rude and they really need to calm down. There is more to life than Drill(hahaha look at my name..Drill for life)

Drill for life out

I will report back if needed.

I don't know about you, but I remember signing a couple Privacy Act statements for my NCO's who were in charge of me since they'd have access to personal info such as my SSN.

I don't but Im the type of person, if you want my idenity, you can have it, I have no money in the bank, my credit is crap, and have no credit cards, so have fun. Thats how I go by, so it doesn't bother me, and I joke about it all the time, so I probably signed it but didn't read it.

I didn't, I've learned to pick up on online sarcasm.

Ok, sorry from your response I couldn't tell, but back on topic, I took a quick gander at that site, and let me just say wow. I have a feeling all most all of the people on thier saying they are enlisted in the military, have never stepped foot in IET and are all talk, they are so disrespectful to each other, its amazing.
