Cool Finished My Processing

I finished my processing with my unit last Saturday. I'm in the 345th MI battalion at fort Gordon. It was a great experience meeting everyone and I can't wait to start drill next month.

Umm where are you getting your info from? I never was called any names due to JROTC, nor have I done so to cadets.

That is what has happened to my friends. I had a friend who went to his unit(his was in the CHISE program) and he wore his C/2ndLt rank and they called him nickel. It wasn't bad it was just a little teasing the JROTC cadet. When the recruiters at my RSS saw me in my uniform they said I looked like the "Gay Pride" flag(because of my ribbons, get it) I laughed here is the NCOIC of the RSS yellign at me:
"Front lean and rest you little gay twerp"
"When I say down you say "I love me some"
"When I say up you say "Marine Men they are handsome"
I was so embarressed but I started laughing and they made me push until I stopped laughing. They where laughing so hard.

Yea, I would like to know where you got your information from, in my training unit at Ft. Benning, I was looked to for help on multipul occasions, and was respected for being JROTC, not once was I ever called a name, other than a nick name I recieved for a scar I have on my face. (Put two and two together). Also, in my unit their are a few Soldiers who are also ex JROTC, and none of us have ever been called nick names for being JROTC, and to the ROTC thing, as part of the Guard and more important an Infantry unit, we have whats called SMP Cadets, they are current ROTC cadets who are training for thier job (Ill let an ex or current SMP fill in for my lack of knowledge here), and as an Enlisted member, we have one who follows our PL and SL around at drill none stop, and no one has ever called them by anything other than LT.

Might be the fact I'm a little druged up on pain meds for my wisdom teeth, but what the heck is CHISE? Also, why the hell would he wear his JROTC rank im assuming was on an Army uniform, as that would be agaisnt regs, and if he was in my unit, I would smoke the living crap out of him.

Woah woah, you guys call an ROTC Cadet LT? That's just wrong, they haven't earned the title yet. We had a Cadet from the AF Academy shadow our DI's and we were specifically instructed not to call them LT.

Really? Our 1SGT told us to call them LT, granted we don't salute or even stand at attention when we talk to them, All of them are PS, one of them was a E-7, and the other was an E-5 or E-6, can't remember off the top of my head. That might have something to do with it. Either that or he did it to not confuse the living heck outta a bunch of enlisted Infantry guys ;-)

and to Drill for Life, yea, if a Soldier showed up to an Drill in an Army uniform with his JROTC stuff on, I would rip that crap off his uniform so quick,
