Army Ranger

I joined the Army to become a Ranger and I know what a ranger does. But I was curious after you pass Ranger School what usually happens? Do you get assigned with a group somewhere, or what? I am just wondering and I want to gather diffrent answers from all sorts of people.

If you already joined and truely on AD like your title states you should know what is going to happen.

I think most guys go out for a burger and a beer, although some go for pizza. This is usually followed by a visit to a tatoo parlor and Ranger Joe's for a 'Ranger' license plate and t-shirt.

Are you assigned to the 75th? I would assume you would already know if you're Active.

Don't make it singular. It was several beers, several T-shirts, (don't forget the multitude that state "My son/daddy is a Ranger!") Ranger patrol caps, with the proper "cat's eyes for the bat you were assigned to and finally riding in the back of a ranger buddy's pick up truck up and down Victory Blvd. Several more burgers, several more pizzas and several more beers. Did I mention sleep?
