Default 'Scuse me, Eyeball?

I'd have posted this on the plaques thread, but it's now locked. Perhaps another Board could be established for people to advertise military memorobelia? Those wanting to post an ad would, of course have to be approved by a Moderator. But it'd sure cut down on a lot of this sort of stuff, and would give members another resource to find sites for gifts and such.

Just a thought.

You 'scused. If it's a commercial enterprise, the individual can buy an ad - Grunt pays for the site, and advertisers provide revenue. The policy of the site is that commercial concerns buy ad space, not use posts for free advertising. The lady is free to contribute as a member, should she so desire, and provide a link in her profile and/or signature to her site, but not to use posts as advertising.

The matter is being dealt with via PM, and while I'm certain the items offered are unique and desirable, it has never been the purpose of the forum to be more than the exchange of ideas - it was never intended to become a 'swap shop'. Of course, should you desire a sub-forum for memorabilia exchange, feel free to contact Grunt.

I'd have to agree with Hairy. If we allowed one to advertise then we'd have to allow the masses and the bandwidth isn't worth the cost Grunt has to pick up. We've had others place their links in their sig line or profile...which encourages the member to post more often rather than come in once, post and run...never to be heard from again.

It was a good call!
