I have been looking around the internet for some information on joining the military and I came across this website/forum. I have been hanging around reading a few things for the last couple of days and decided to join! I look forward to receiving some great advice from all of you...

Navy! Ive been considering joining for a while but now circumstances have accelerated my decision. I started exercising a few months back, I use to weigh 320lbs and now im down to 270, trying to get to 230 before I actually enlist, but I figured I might just do it now. I will be joining with an Associates Degree in I.T. and will hopefully join the Navy in an area of computers. I also have heard of NROTC but am not familiar with it. I would like to pursue a lifetime of navy service and Im wondering what my options are. Thanks in advance!

Well, come on over to the Navy Cadet forum (below). We've got a few NROTC Cadets that would be more than happy to answer your questions on that topic. If you already have a degree, however, you might want to check into OCS (though, if I recall, you would need a Bachelors). Information Technology (Information Warfare) is one of the Navy's large fields:

The Navy Reserve also has a direct appointment program if you posess experience in the cryptology field, as well.
