"I didn't start dipping until I was at Ft. Stewart."

Drill Sergeant, I couldn't help but laugh at that. (It doesn't help that I have a MUTA 6 at FSGA this weekend. )

Hey DS, I haven't seen you around in ages so I thought I'd drop by and say hello. Before you ask, I was ArmyofOne on the old forum...I thought a name change was appropriate after realizing just how oxymoron the other name was. Anyway, I hope all is well with you.

I'm in class. Tried to reply, but I'm trying not to get caught.

I got activated in January 03, in Kuwait the first of Feb, then up to Balad and later to Victory base. I seen an LTC get a BSM, and he was relieved of his duties twice. I saw a SGT receive a BSM for keeping a duty log. I was ask for my input, I had maybe 5-6 people for awards. I wasn't ask for anymore input, but the CDR of our unit got 95% of the unit an award - BSM, ARCOM or what ever. I was in very much disgreement with his motives as there were the usual "hey you were there awards".

Sounds like they are giving coins like they give awards today. That was my first coin. It was 3yrs later I got a coin from my Engineer Company. It was like that in Iraq, everyone was giving coins away. While I Kosovo, I received a coin from a Hungarian Infantry BDE Commander. I got to work with them and he appreciated my work. It was a solid silver coin. So it stays in its plastic case.

They gave me the CG's coin. Don't know where it is, but on my EER(before NCOER) it states I was DSOC, so I guess that's good enough!!
