Hey, Well I was on the Oakley website a couple months ago and I stumbled upon their Gov't sales website and there were some exciting discounts provided for military personnel, and my uncle, in the USN, got me some sunglasses. My uncle wants needs some goggles and I'm just doing some research for him. So I'm just wondering if any of you AD personnel out there has used the Oakley SI Sand/Wind/Dust goggles before and how the fit, etc, etc. I would go into a store and check them out but these Gov't sales products are only available online. There is a link of the item of which I am speaking of. Thanks in advance.

US Standard Issue is a great place to get gear, and gives you a great discount.
I haven't bought anything from them but some M-Frames with ballistic lenses. I'm not a big goggles fan because for me they fog up and really don't do the job. i only wear them when i absolutely have to.

Well I bit my lip and ordered them, and they were SUPPOSE to come today I was estimating (they don't give you a tracking number) and the UPS truck came by stopped....at my neighbors dropped something off and left for its other route. I called them and they said it's on backorder  and will get to me sometime mid January, but as soon as they get here I will tell you guys how they are.

Well, they came yesterday and they were just as I thought they would be. The frame hugged my face perfectly and the lens never seem to fog up, even after I did the breath test :p. Also they have good vents to let air come through, there is one drawback on how bulky they look when wearing them without a hat of any sort, but I think this is because of the fact that they are designed for use with a helmet. What's cool is the frame is a matte black and straps adjustable to most face sizes along with being comfortable. Another thing that I read up on it is the lens have a special coating that allows them to have a low glare to decrease being spotted. And don't forget that these goggles are ANSI Z87.1-2003 certified meaning they withstood a 1/4 inch bb shot at 200 fps! Well hopes this helps future buyers, can't wait to use these for snowboarding, airsoft, and everything from A through Z that I can. One more thing, I got the grey lenses for these goggles and it provided a good protection from the sun and glares, and night visibility is not much affected by this tint, clear lenses are also available.
