Hey everyone,

My Dad is in the Navy and he just got back from an overseas deployment. He was deployed with an Army Unit so he was issued Army Utilities and such. His CO says he no longer has any use for them, seeing as he isnt going overseas again because he is going to retire. So, he said I could have the Combat Boots from the Army Utilities. I was just wondering if I would be allowed to wear them, or would I just have to keep them at the house?

Thanks,
TAMHSGT

There's nothing that says you can't wear boots outside a uniform. That said, if it's your intent to wear the boots with a uniform, make sure it's the uniform it's intended for (i.e. the Army's tan boots with ACU's).

As said before, boots are boots. As long as you wear those boots properly, it's all good.

Congrats on your dad's retirement! How long did he serve, and what capacity?

So you can just have them, well I guess that's right because my SAI says take the boots and shoes you wear and keep them.

Tell your dad congrats.

Wow, the old "I guess that's right" because someone told me reference. I'm impressed cadet, you seem to have a grasp of governing directives.

I guess that means I can keep the uniforms and boots that the Air Force gave me because your SAI says it's ok since I wore them and all.

I'm sorry, but I have to say it. It seems to me the more I read your posts, and the more I see you revive old threads that are obviously dead, and you contribute nothing to them you are just trying to up your post count. That little rank next to your name means absolutely nothing. It is the quality no quantity of your posts that matters.
