How do I show my rank in my forum posts?
I am an AFJROTC Cadet Senior Airman (E-4 or C/SrAmn).
Please help, thanks.

Simply go to your user control panel, click on "Group Memberships" and select which branch you want your forum rank displayed as.
You do need to change your avatar. Cadets cannot use Active Duty ranks as their avatars. Find a picture of your Cadet rank to use instead. Also since we are cadets we do not have pay grades(E-4), only ranks.

Flyboy, he was talking about his avatar in the first place I do believe. First go to http://www.gruntsmilitary.com/ima/afjrotc/SRAirman.gif. Copy that link and then go to your User CP on the forums. Navigate to "Edit Avatar," and then look for the "Custom Avatar" section on that page. You will see 2 options; option 1 will be your choice. Hit the radio button that says "Use Custom Avatar," then paste the link you previously copied into that URL bar. Save changes and presto! Instant rank display.

Okay, that makes a bit more sense.

Or just do what I do put your rank in your Signature. Don't focus on rank it's just a piece of metal. On the Grunts Forum the only think that matter's is your advice/Knowledge and your post count.

Post count doesn't matter in the slightest...

It kind of does, it shows your experienced in the way of the Forum.

All it shows is how much you like to run your mouth. The experience part shows itself in the quality of your posts. (You, in general, not you Drill for Life)

I would still however not like to be noted as an E-1. I am an Enlisted rank 4 in AFJROTC not 1.

If you need any help in the near future, ask away. As you can see, we are also here to help along with making friends and carrying on conversations.

That my friend is a post count oriented "number." As you can see, next to our names are ranks, for mostly everyone. They are commensurate with that little designation like E-1 or E-7 or O-1. You cannot remove it, but it is of no bother. Think of it this way: As you progress on the forum and your number of posts increase, that "rank" will move up. But don't feel like "rank" means anything, it doesn't. Refer below please...

Then why all the cloth and tabs? And post count means nothing, it's what is in those posts that means something.

Look at your post count, and mind you this is after several posts have been deleted. Compare it with everyone else's in general. Shows you have way too much free time on your hands.
Compare your post count to somebody's in the E-7 or below range (I fall into the E-8 category last I checked though I don't display it). Look at their posts and how their composed and how many times they've been corrected compared to yours. If you're just here for post count, then please see yourself to the door. If you're going to make a meaningful contribution or seek advice on personal matters as you occasionally do, then by all means stick around.

I don't want to turn this into an argument, but it's posts like these that they are referring to, coupled with the amount of them. Grunt's can be an "internet home," but you shouldn't speak how you do in your home. Here we adhere to the proper use of the English language and grammatical structure. I suggest taking the two seconds before you hit "Submit Reply" and actually proof your posts...
