I went there several times. Loved Bareclona! Rota was a disapointment, though. I miss chasing girls along la Rambla.

Beautiful area. I haven't been there since the late 70's. It's on my list of things to get back to.

Y'all have to move out to this part of the country. It was cool last night (24) but it's suppose to be in the low 70's by lunch.

It'll be warming back up tomorrow. That's one great thing about Texas...if you dislike the weather, wait 5 minutes...it'll change!

I spent some time in Alaska once. Probably one of the coldest moments in my life.
We got some freezing rain and snow flurries around my way last night. The main roads are fine but some of the side roads are covered with a sheet of ice.

...but I remember December in Great Lakes. Marching to breakfast at 0-dark-30, only to discover the fresh snow we're marching through is disguising the 2"-thick sheet of ice that resulted from a fireplug bursting as the water inside tried to freeze solid. Looking back, it's comical. But at the time, it was infuriating...we all went down like dominos!

Al Gore and his buddies at the IPCC. They used to call it "Global Warming", but when that went down the toilet, they just started calling it "Climate Change" so that he could keep on selling his "carbon offsets" to the suckers. :p

I wonder how cold it gets in Spain? The coldest it gets in south Georgia (USA) is in the twenties range. When summer comes around though, I wish it could be in the twenties again.
Today in the frosty North was -22 degrees celcius (-36 with windchill)

In my homeland (Leon, Castile & Leon) -NW of Spain-, for example, itīs snowing five days a month, like in the Fifties.
We piss on the Al Goreīs "global warming"...

All the way down to the 60s here in southern Arizona (and about 20 degrees cooler at night). Guess that means time to brace for the annual influx of northern liberals and snowbirds - which brings to mind the eternal question - "if we can shoot deer during deer season, and migratory waterfowl during bird season, just what's the story on 'tourist season'?"

At least that is only a temporary problem. Perhaps the same question should be posed about the "southern tourists."

No bag limit. However, the local LEO types might take exception to the loss of revenue :p

This global warming is kicking my arse up here in Maine. We are just getting over the worst ice storm in decades. There are still people without power, a week later. The next three days... snow snow snow!!

What's snow?
No seriously, I'm going out for whitetails this afternoon and evening in a T-shirt. Tomorrow it will be down in the high 50's. I'm thinking of wearing a long sleeved shirt.

We hit the lower 70's this week...good weather for Saturday, so I can wash my new car. But Sunday's gonna bring another cold snap, temps expected in the 20's and 30's, from what I hear. Not gonna be fun!!!

My Malamute was doing back flips this morning. He'd be happier is it was snowing, but it was a good break for him. I actually had to warm my jeep up this morning too. Life must suck living in the cold.

JohnP,
It's zero (0) outside and the wind is gusting to 45MPH, that's what we call cold and it does suck! We have two seasons here: Winter and August, but it has it's advantages, less mosquitoes and fewer rattlers. The real purpose of my post though: How did we do on the venison hunt?

Wow, that is freezy. I hope I never get that cold. In 1992 there was a freak weather occurence and it snowed for two days. I thought that was amazing considering I live in south south Georgia.

In the northern part of NH right now (Presidential Mountain Range):
Temperature -10.2°F
Wind 93.4 mph
Direction 296° (NW)
Gust 105.9 mph
Wind Chill -53.5°F
Fortunately, I live in the milder "souther climate" of NH where it is a balmy 7 degrees with winds of only 20 mph. We got 3 feet of snow over the weekend, all perfect powder. So if anyone is interested in some good skiing or snowboarding - this is a good time.

I noticed Northern PA on your dog tags. NE or NW? I was raised around Erie and completely understand the cold you're talking about. I remember one winter, skiing out of the top window of our 2 story house.
As for the deer:
Friday - Nothing sighted but I took out a javalina at close range with my .45.
Saturday - 4 shots, 4 kills.
Sunday - Skunked out. 2 buddies got one each.
On the whole, I'd say it was a good weekend. I won't be heading back out for a planned hunt until after the 1st. The wildlife management warden wants to clear out more whitetails and eliminate a herd of feral hogs coming in from the south. I could use .03's long gun on that expedition.
If you're ever down this way, swing in for a kill.

When I feel blue about the snew I always check out Siberia.
Right now in Verkhoyansk it is -40C and -40F, at exactly the same time.
Now I feel better, but the temperatures in southern Texas still deeply offend me. It is not fair that these guys are out hunting while I am trying to thaw out my frozen car battery in my basement.
Surely, the weather in Texas is in violation of climate legislation and somebody needs to do something about it.
Down here in north Florida we're going to have a nice 80 F Christmas (and by nice I mean it sucks). Of course, when I left West Point Saturday morning there were 8 in. of snow on the ground, not sure which is worse.

The Great Lakes cold? Naw, 8 degrees for a high and -5 for a low isn't cold at all...it's down right FRIGGED! This's nuts, but hey I'm sure this global warming thing should kick in before too long right? We haven't gotten too much snow here (north central Ohio) but the ice has been a pain in the butt, to say the least...another batch of ice coming in tonight and then we're suppose to go right back up into the 40s and 50s? It could all be worse!
