Hello to everyone.

I've never enlisted nor served in the armed forces, although I would have gladly donned the uniform years ago had I not been PDQ.

Anyway, I watch the wars from afar, lamenting every IED or EFP or VBIED that smokes more of our brothers and sisters in arms. Let me just say that I admire the service of any of our enlisted countrymen and women and would be excited to hear the details of anyone's experiences overseas or in hostile lands.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

Joe T. Huff

Can't condemn your spirit, Joe, but most of the folks here have 'seen the elephant' - even the ones who soldiered on for years and never saw combat - and have a more realistic view. Your support and enthusiasm are welcome, but after seeing some of your non-sequiter posts in other threads, I'd suggest you 'think twice, post once - if at all'.

Enjoy your stay here, and feel free to PM any mod with any questions you may have.

Thanks for your suggestion. To think before speaking is a virtuous skill; every day, whether in email or face-to-face conversation, I see how long a way I have left to go before I master it.
