I decided to post this since the Air Force had one.
From the halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From the dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And have never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.

I have known the Hymn since I was 9 years old. Whenever I feel down I sing the Marine Corps hymn.

You all need a life...or a hobby.
Seriously, wait 'til you are in the Corps, and hate all the BS you have to deal with, then see how 'moto' that hymn makes you.

Perhaps our hobby is obtaining knowledge on the USMC and the Military in general.

Still, there is a point where it becomes a bit ridiculous. That would be like me running around singing the Air Force Song to myself.

Hey, nothing wrong with being motivated about the Marine Corps. Yeah, singing the USAF hymn is strange, but singing the Marine's Hymn is just awesome. :D

May I ask why you have prairie dogs roaming in your backyard? That's a pretty big backyard as well.

FYI - It's called the "Marine's Hymn", not the "Marine Corps Hymn".
You'd get slammed for calling it wrong in boot camp, if you ever were to go.

That reminds me of something funny. My first deployment I was running and I had JUST thought to myself how silly the Air Force song was (random thought) when right at that moment I tripped on a rock, ate dirt and stunned myself.
I never made fun of the Air Force song again.

From the halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
There's a buzz around the harbour
That the Yanks are going to sea;
With a gallon of coca/pepsi cola (dependent upon current endorsement contract)
And a * big tub of ice cream;
Oh they're *ing good kids in the harbour
But oh my Christ at sea.
Down in deepest Africa
Where the yanks have never been
Lies the body of massive Gorilla
Shagged to death by a Royal Marine
Royal Marine, Royal Marine,
Lies the body of a massive Gorilla
Shagged to death by a Royal Marine
Royal Marine, Royal Marine

Of course there would be more swearing and verses, but you can make those up.
Its the finishing part I'm worried about!!!!
