GIPictures.com is live! What does that mean to you? Well, it could mean you or a dependent of yours can get a paying job in the movie biz.

For those of you that don't know, Nehst Studios has created a movie production company called GI Pictures and I’m an exec and chief military adviser. I brainstormed this initiative with CEO Larry Meistrich (producer of Sling Blade, You Can Count on Me and dozens of other films). Larry is the dependent son of a decorated Viet Nam vet and he's decided to support the troops in a unique way that's never been done before. GI Pictures is going to make movies using all military veterans and/or their dependents. Larry knows what it takes to produce a great film and he believes that all the skills necessary to do that can be found in our nation’s veterans. We're going to let the movie business and employers everywhere know that veterans have skills far beyond those found on the battlefield.

Please take a minute and check out GIPictures.com and SIGN-UP! It's quick, it's easy, and you can list your skills FREE! Also, we’re accepting pitches on scripts and ideas for projects – you must sign a release and there’s a nominal admin fee for submissions. This is an incredible opportunity not only for those who've worn the uniform, but our dependent family members as well. I told you; never been done before. But I need people signing up to make this work. So don't wait, go to the site, sign-up and tell every vet you know. Larry and I know this is going to be huge, so get in now! How much fun will it be to tell America, "Stop buying magnets for the SUV. You want to support the troops? Go to the movies!"

Learn everything we're doing at the site. I'll start blogging, vlogging and sending our RSS feeds in the next few weeks to keep everyone up-to-date on the company. We're working out the details on giving a portion of the profits to a military charity, so stay tuned for that. This really is a win-win-win plan!

Semper Fi Marines, and thank you Veterans of every branch!

Sincerely,
Cary Abbott
MSgt., USMC-Ret.

Let's see. No intro and don't have the foggiest clue who I'm dealing with, but he comes to our 'house' and wants me to send money for him to make movies. Well friend, I'm a strikingly handsome, ex-Platoon Sergeant and just waiting to be 'found'! Your check's in the mail.

And I a grizzled but handsome leading man not yet 'discovered'. Certainly after my first starring role, the royalties will be enough to finance your next picture. Have your people contact my people, perhaps we can 'do' lunch.

In addition, I find it odd that someone who supposedly has the financial means to produce Sling Blade would be referred to as a dependent. Sorry, but once you start making your own way in this world, you are no longer a dependent.

I have an idea for a movie. Better yet, I'll pitch it to Barry Tubb, Tommy Lee Jones or Robert Duvall, the next time they're in town.

Seems like I found Cary somewhere else. Don't know about him being a MSgt. but he claims to be a Marine. I'll let you adults check out the truth.
