I was introduced to this site by a long-time friend 03-shooter. I've perused most of the forums and am impressed with the discussions. I look forward to being able to post positive comments into these areas.

Welcome aboard.
If you're a friend of 03's, you can't be all bad.
Do you two-step or waltz? :D

A good Texan can waltz as adpetly as he can two-step. I prefer to waltz if given the choice.

Any friend of 03's can't be all bad - you're welcome to drop by the club and buy a round, and we'll let the two of you tell embarrassing stories about each other. Welcome aboard.

Good answer.
I know what makes up West Texas and South Texas, but I'm still trying to figure out where extreme SW Texas is. What that be the Big Bend area or would it be in the McAllen/Brownsville area?

Yes, I referenced 03 Shooter. I've known him for a long, long time and remember him as one of those baby-faced killers people fear.

Let me add my welcome. There are very few of us Blue Suiters that had parachute duties. Where and what were you doing that required a P prefix.

Let me add my welcome. There are very few of us Blue Suiters that had parachute duties. Where and what were you doing that required a P prefix.
My initial quals were as a SP with 1st SOW (Thanks to my PJ brethren, there very few P811's when I was there.)
I was with the TACP as a P275 assigned to the 82nd, 7th Group and finally 75 Ranger Regiment. I was one of the 1st ETAC's to be qualified to control air without a "0" looking over my shoulder. I could advise, assist, and control all airs within my area without having to ask permission. (It was hard to live with that ego.)
I was at Hurlburt Field, Fort Benning, Fort Bragg and then to Shaw AFB when I pulled a Wing Staff job (507th DOV) then 9AF/IG.
For the record - 153 successful jumps and 151 successful landings.

I'm glad neither of the other two landings were fatal.
