I need some help and advice. THere was a gang shooting at my school involving a real good friends of mine. My friends want me to get back in a deal the rivals some pain. I used to be a Blood, and knew it was wrong but I only did it because I needed protection. I got out after I got arrested the second time. I couldn't take it. The paths I was going down where death and prison and I always have loved the Marine Corps so I decided it was time to join a realg crew of killers and I do have to say those two things where the best things I have ever done. What should I do, turn my back on the guys who I grew up with, have fed me,clothed me and protected me or should I turn away and be a sell out. Please Helps me? I am begging oyu guys real answers and none of these gangs suck answers, I know that's why I got out I need a real world answer to this.

Seems as though you've made up your mind and you don't realize it. To not want to turn back to your old ways shows that you've matured, and realizing the consequences of turning back is proof of the maturity you've grown. Don't get involved.

Thank you Armysc_25B, I don't want to do anything I just want to fiish High School and Attend MCRDPI and earn the title of Marine. The thing is school is going to be real hard for me if I don't do anything. I know I have matured but how much more can I mature when guys who say they are my friends are beating me up when I use to be there leader only because I decided I wanted to change?

You gotta make the choice yourself. Consider the outcomes: Help your friends, get convicted of murder, kiss your chances of earning the title of "Marine" GOODBYE. Forget them, get beat up once in a while (will only last through high school), accelerate your life to it's true potential and be a Marine. Pick your poison (AKA, pick the second choice, dumb-a$$). :D

First of all, you're to be commended. You are displaying courage in the face of adversity. The fact that you're considering going a different direction than these guys shows character.
On another note, you're between a rock and a hard place but you do have options. One is to find a counselor at school to talk about it. Another is to try to ignore it as much as humanly possible. I'm not aware of the exact standards for entry into the USMC, but any military service will only tolerate so many arrests/ disciplinary problems (whether they're your fault or not). What you CAN NOT do is let these guys get you down or get you into trouble. Take the high road and do what you have to do to get through school.
Good luck, man. I'll be praying for you.

I'm going to be strait up here, 'cause that's the kind of guy I am. You make it sound like turning your back on some gang members/friends is being a sell out... You shouldn't associate yourself with gangs or hateful violence (as opposed to the violence you may find in the military) anyways. You have been arrested twice, the gang work you were involved in was probably a stem of that, actually it would have been a stem of that, you don't land yourself in jail for no reason. Snap out of it! You said you used to be a blood and you couldn't take it anymore. What makes you think getting involved again is going to help you?
And I'm not trying to bash you or who you hang out with, but why in the world would you hang out with people that involve themselves in activities that result in gang shootings? Seriously, if you don't want to be a part of something, then don't be a part of it! Don't associate yourself and don't think that you have to because those involved are your "friends."
You want a real world answer? Deal with it what ever way you want. I see it as two options: Option A: Go talk with your friends and decide that you want to get these guys. You proceed to involve yourself in a violent and life threatening situation where you may walk away with blood on your hands or a be carried away with a hole in your head. If you are so lucky as to walk away with blood on your hands (as opposed to being carried away on a stretcher) you may find yourself in handcuffs (and rightfully so). Then you may kiss your Marine Corps hopes goodbye. Option B: Walk away and keep your dreams of a career in the Marine Corps and make something of yourself as opposed to all those gun-toting, drug dealing lowlifes (I said it).
I may have come across as very blunt and may not have appealed to you completely, but that's how I see things, and others may or may not agree with me. You asked for real world advice, and I'm not sure how much more "real world" I can get with you. You need to make a choice, and either way you go, some people won't be happy. Now you need to decide what is more important to you: your gang happy friends of now, or you future.

SEMPER FI for life. I have wanted to be a Marine since I was five, I have been a BLood since I was 13 the only reason I got jumped in was becaseu I was scared. What the Heck when is a Marine Scared. I have matured since then. I did get in touch with a Gang Counselor at my counties Courthouse and he told me exactly what you guys have mentioned. I know it's going to be hard, I'll be some experience that will help me in my Marine Corps dreams. Why should I turn on the thing that has kept me stable since I was little(the Marine Corps). I love the Marines and I know it's what god wants me to do so that is what I'm going to do.
Trublu I pick opton B:Continue on my Marine Corps career.
P.S. Just so you guys know the Assault and Battery where dropped. The guys who filed the charges where going to have a drug test when they apperead in court so instead of getting me sent to Juvey they dropped the charges. To make it short there is nothing on record!!!

Good choice, and I'm glad you took that to your heart and brain as opposed to your past ties or affiliations. Keep strong in school, in your JROTC unit, and God willing, the Marine Corps.

I I can. I'm just joking I'll switch schools if I have to. I want that EGA more than I have ever wanted anything in my life and I know I will earn the title of Marine. I am alive only because of God. Thank you guys, I am way different person than I was when I first registered last year. Today is my first year anniversary of joining grunts. I just want you guys to know that I have gotten to know you very well and you guys are real good friends, some of you are real close and are like family.

Drill,
First off, it takes great courage to step out and ask for help when your in a situation such as you are. My question to you is what is more important to you? To end up being tormented for killing someone, or being tormented with a bullet in your head, never remaining the same for the rest of your life, or even worst dead, or in a jail cell for murder? Or is being one of the few and the proud the most important?
You really have two options. A. Get involved with the gang, end up in jail or dead, or in jail, or B. Focus on School, Ignore the supposed friends, and join the Corps. Either way the choice is up to you.
Oh and for the record, even if they wiped your record clean due to charges being dropped, there is always a way for people to find out the charges and that they were dropped, so technically your wrong, you still have a record. Take it from me, I was in the Juvenile System thanks to my mother, and they found record of that at MEPS. They are able to find anything, masked, sealed or unmasked.
Do me a favor, check your PM Box, I'm sending you the link to a story of my friend. If you want to go down the wrong path and end up thinking you'll make it out wrong, your incorrect and VERY wrong, and you will be missed, even if you make some people mad sometimes because of your repeated Grammar Mistakes. My friends name was Michael Briggs, he was a Marine Corporal, a Sergeant for Manchester Police Department and VERY well loved. He was shot point blank in the head by a guy named Michael Addison, who was a gang member and drug addict. The irony here is Briggs saved Addison from the same exact thing three years prior to the incident. New Hampshire is seeking death penalty for this. If you think you have seen someone missed, look at the photos on the link I send you, millions came to honor him. He is VERY much missed, and you would be also, if something happened to you. Just some fruit for thought.

Doesn't sound like they're really your friends to me. But I suppose thats an "atypical" kind of anwser. It sounds like the "same ol' song and dance" criminal activitiy to me. If someone was even considered my "friend" they wouldn't ask me to do illegal activity, no matter how bad they needed my help. But im kinda late posting so, looking at your last statement...It seems you've made the right choice my friend.
