I was watching the Pentagon channel a few nights ago and saw this video: http://www.marines.mil/usmc/Pages/2008MarineCorpsBirthdayBall.aspx . I thought the video was very well done and good for citizens to see, and I'm sure it also pumps up the Marines who are currently serving right now. I especially want to thank all the Marines on Grunt's, past and present, for their service. Thanks and God Bless! :salute:

Hi USMC Wife. I can't answer your question, but just wanted to say welcome to Grunts.
I hope you will post an introduction in the welcome section and stick around. :)

I missed all these pictures last year. All pictured in above photos are some good lookin' Marines!
But then again....is there any other kind?

One thing I was curious about is the uniform that the guy in the middle is wearing in
the picture above. I don't believe I've ever seen that uniform before. I love it, it reminds
me of something you'd see in the 1700's.

MOM, I am not a Marine yet (the word yet is said with a strong prayer), but I believe the uniform is called the Officer Evening Dress. If I am mistaken, hopefully a Marine will correct me on here. But, I believe I am right.

It's called Evening Dress. Often mistakenly called "Mess Dress" as I have called it that myself.

Wait, wait, wait.... The REAL Habu Pit out in town and up the hill from Kuwae Hospital? The one that has been around since the 60's?!? It still exists??

Thanks Bama and Ben. I learned something new then.
I'd seen the one on the far left in the picture Ben posted before.
I guess all the Marines I've known personally were enlisted come to think of it.
