This is the continuation of MP_Girl's original on the old Cadet Forum... so, I thought I'd bring it over here!
I'll start it off.
Interests: I love History... I don't know why... I just love learning about the old battles, tactics, why those battles were even fought, and how dictators came into power with their smooth talking and goons. I also love Military Science (Tactics, units, etc.).
Military Interests: Everything and anything about it!
Extra-Curricular Activities: Drill Team
AJROTC, AROTC, Other participating Cadet Program: AJROTC -- C/SFC, and Platoon Sergeant
What your display name means and why you chose it: Buffa1oso1di3r because I am African-American, my Great-grand father was a Buffalo Soldier, and, my old name (Buffalosoldier92), I screwed up. (LOL)
Favorite Websites: The Grunts and a few other sites (won't list 'em).
Any Jobs or after school hobbies: Airsofting
What do you want to do in your future: I plan to enlist in the Army in 2010 at the age of 17 (Hopefully getting my mom and dad to sign the papers... I think my dad will sign them, just because he gets to own me more). I also plan to go through Air Assault School and become an Airborne Ranger...
Other Accomplishments: Staying alive for so long.

Jobs/Hobbies: Playing flight Simulator X (been playing the FS Series since FS 95 when it first came out)
What do I want to do in the Future after school: I'm Enlisting in the USAF in 2010 at age 17 (I KNOW my parents will sign cause they said they will and thats gonna be my 17th B-Day Present) I'm going to try to become a C-130 Mechanic as I'v always LOVED the idea of Literally owning a plane and being able to take it apart and put it together again BY MYSELF.
Acomplishments: Being in the Civil Air Patrol and having the oppurtunity to serve my Community, State and Nation.
BTW, Buffalo Soldier, thats awesome that your Great Grandfather was a Buffalo Soldier. Good luck with your ambitions and goals. TTYL.

09-17-2008, 08:24 PM
Interests: I'm personally just a mountain biker at heart. I love everything about being on two wheels, completely to myself, with nothing but the dirt around you. I'm also very interested in motorcycles, obviously spurring from that. There's nothing like the feeling of being on one alone...at least in my experience. As far as other interests, I enjoy science and computers.
Military Interests: What's not to be interested in?
Extra-Curricular Activities: Air Rifle Marksmanship Team
AJROTC, AROTC, Other participating Cadet Program: AJROTC C/SFC - Platoon Leader & Assistant Battalion Adjutant
What your display name means and why you chose it: Century0...well, it's just unique. Some people think it means 1000, but I just picked it in a time of ignorance, when my favorite car on a video game was a Freightliner of the Century and I simply put a 0 after it for the year 2000.
Favorite Websites: Grunts and Wikipedia are my home sites.
Any Jobs or after school hobbies: Mountain biking.
What do you want to do in your future: I wish to go through college, doing ROTC in college, and earn my butter bars. I'm currently interested in perhaps obtaining 31A as my MOS. If that fails, I plan to major in Computer Programming or something of the sort. I also wish to become a police officer after my time in the service.
Other Accomplishments: I survived a car wreck? Mountain bike vs. car.

Interests: Politics, history, computers, military, and friends. I guess you could consider math an interest of mine, as well (not graphing, though).
Military Interests: I'm thinking about enlisting into the National Guard after HS, and before college starts. I doubt that it'll ever become a full-time career, but if it ever does, it's going to be as an officer.
Extra-Curricular Activities:
AJROTC, AROTC, Other participating Cadet Program: Let-2, AJROTC.
What your display name means and why you chose it: N/A (possible CPP violation if stated exact meaning). It uses the military phonetic alphabet (obviously :)).
Favorite Websites: Hockeyfights.com, GameFAQs, Myspace, Grunts, and a few others maybe.
Any Jobs or after school hobbies: After school hobbies? JROTC, or doing something with my friends.
What do you want to do in your future: I want to work with computers. I'm thinking about majoring in Computer Science, but Computer Engineering is a possibility. Now, as for the specific job that I want, that is unknown. If I enlist into the National Guard after HS/before college, I don't know how many years I'd do. I'd like to get at least 1 deployment, whether it be combat or non-combat.
Other Accomplishments: N/A

09-17-2008, 11:30 PM
Interests: Aviation and Aerospace Science (yeah, not only do I like to fly, but I like to learn how and why things fly!) I enjoy hunting, and sport shooting. I also love auto racing (not NASCAR, though, more like Super GT and Grand Prix racing)
Military Interests: Unsurprisingly, aviation. My plan for now is to go to college and go for an engineering type major. After that, I might commission in the Air Force and become a pilot there, or fly commercially (i.e. passenger airlines or cargo airlines.) I do plan to join the USAF Reserves next year, when I turn 17 and am a senior in high school.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Not much, actually. I was thinking about joining the Mock Trial club or German Club, but time wouldn't permit for that. So, as of now, not a whole lot besides JROTC.
AJROTC, AROTC, Other participating Cadet Program: AFJROTC; AS-III, C/MSgt, Charlie Flight Commander.
What your display name means and why you chose it: I chose it because I hope to make a career out of the Air Force.
Favorite Websites: A racing forum, a DeLorean forum (because I am a DeLorean enthusiast) and an Air Traffic Control scanner site. (and Grunt's, of course;))
Any Jobs or After School Hobbies: No jobs or hobbies as of yet, school takes up too much importance.
What Do You Want To Do In Your Future?: See Military Interests above.
Other Accomplishments: N/A

Military Interests: Pretty much everything, especially organizational, structural, and operational aspects
Extra-Curricular Activities: Drill Team, that's about it for now.
Cadet Program: AFJROTC, and I'm thinking about joining the USCGAUX this year for fun while I'm in high school.
What your display name means and why you chose it: I don't really know what it means to me, I've used the "Blu" term in a lot of user names, and I just figured that "TruBlu" had kind of a ring to it. Plus people may try to break it down to something more complicated than it actually is. Guess that just fits my persona.
Favorite Websites: Grunts, MSN, CNN, all that fun stuff.
Any Jobs or after school hobbies: Need a job!!! But its hard to manage school work and a good GPA and have to work every day.
What do you want to do in your future: I'm a West Point wanna-be to major in political sciences, and minor in foreign language (Russian or Arabic, ambitious I know, but haven't decided which one yet). Haven't decided what I want to do in the Army yet though, I'm debating combat duty, but won't decide until I know every one of my options.
Other Accomplishments: Long list of AFJROTC stuff, pretty standard in comparison with most other cadets who strive for excellence within the program, but I do have the Distinguished Cadet Badge (one person from each unit may wear it) so that's pretty cool.

LOL, I guess all those teacher's weren't just blowing hot air when they told me that I would indeed learn something new everyday. But I must point out that just because you know planes doesn't make you a geek, it merely makes you more knowledgeable in an area most don't specialize in.

When the Grunts Cadet Forum originally split away from the Grunts Military Forum, I was selected to be the first Navy representative to the Joint Cadet Staff, and was the first to "wear" the Grunt rank of Cadet Brevet Rear Admiral Lower Half. For the more experienced cadet members, that was back in the days of StarLifter, Zealot, ArmySparkyZ, and myself, along with TOP, Billyd, Smiles, and the other adult instructors.
In a nut shell: Currently PFC/13B in GA ARNG; dad and husband, and former NJROTC cadet.
