Hi guys!:p It's been a pretty interesting week and a half around my school. We have had some exchange students from Marburg, Germany. They're here on a program set up by our German language department, which I am part of. I think it's actually been pretty cool...you don't really get a full perspective on the world without seeing it through someone else's eyes (much less if they live across an entire ocean and a few countries) What's been really cool in my mind is hearing the opinions of America from the German kids' perspectives. The one thing they all agree on is "that everything is much bigger in America." I'm hoping to be a part of the exchange program next year, where we get to go to Marburg during the summer for 3 weeks. It's a good chance some of you retired military or AD members have been through AFB's in Germany before. If you have, speak up! What was Germany like? I'd really like to know before I spend $8,000 and 3 weeks there. As for the rest of you, do you all have exchange programs or study abroad programs? If not, would you like to have one, and where? Do you support exchange programs as a whole? Thoughts are gladly welcomed.
