So, you guys know about some of my issues with my medical problems and how they may disqualify me for military service.
Well, today I had my examination done... I beat the height requirement by 1/4th of an inch, my hearing is perfect, my eyes are nearly perfect (I'm only slightly near sighted in my left eye, 20/25), and no major issues. The doctor said that I had no reason to be disqualified. :D

Congrats Buff! I too have a few issues and barely made it through mine, but that's awesome that you're gonna be good to go on the med side.

Well a civilian doctor won't try to disqualify you for what you say either. Please don't go there and answer every question they ask just say "Yes Sir (or mam)" and "No sir(or mam)". Don't get disqualifies on the grounds of lying because that would really suck. Good luck to you. What branch are you joining?

Nah, I didn't lie. Only issue I have is allergenic rhinitis... which is a runny nose... and which only occurs in the colder months when I enter a warmer setting from a colder one. Psh, I have a shirt sleeve for that!
My hearing is perfect, I have 20/20 vision in my right eye; 20/25 in my left, I make the height requirement, my reflexes are good, no drugs, and nothing's wrong with my lungs.
And DFL - Marine Corps. Once I'm done with this essay, I have to go make a run to the recruiters office so they can get me up to Denver for an interview. Oh, and to take the PFT... I know at the moment I can do nine pullups, I have no idea how many crunches I can do, and I have ran the three mile run in twenty minutes, but that's at sea level; I live at 6,000 feet above sea level, so I'll probably pull it off in twenty four.

They won't make you run a PFT its a IST its the same thing but its a mile and a half instead of three. So you are enlisting now, what happened to becoming a officer. Have you gone to MEP's yet?
Oh yea sorry if you thought I was accusing you of lying but people are so stupid, our recruiters tell us to shut up and they'll take care of everything but here comes this old guy in a smock and seems all nice and ask you all these stupid questions and at the end of the day you find out your disqualified. It makes me mad that they just trick people into disqualifying themselves, especially with old doctors who your supposed to trust.

It's the PFT, DFL. :P
The full thing, pull ups, crunches, and three mile run.

They didn't ask me anything of the sort, just went in for the examination. The first guy who checked me out had a wife in the Navy, told me some stuff, and wished me luck, considering that to him, I was medically qualified.
The woman who checked me out (hernias, etc.) said that there was nothing wrong with anything on me.
