Startingover

I was just reading in the AF times and i came across an article about the KC-10 fleet. Knowing my commanders love with these vehicles I started to read but quickly found out that they were a bad.

Apparently Boeing, the manufactuer of the plane, has been doing shotty repairs to our Refueler wings. This doesnt sit well with AF command knowing that our reparis are being done inadequately and costily.

My question is... can we go lockheed after this?

No, we can't.

What's good for Boeing is good for America. They have plants in nearly every state, and no senator in their right mind would vote against their projects. LockMart fills a niche in the industry in terms of "advanced" aircraft, and Skunk Works gets contracts making whatever magic they do at Groom Lake, AFB.

Quite frankly, if Boeing sees a way to make money off of it, no one will ever vote against it.

But if you think the KC-10 is bad...

Why not just go with Lockheed, watch Boeing crash and burn, and then have the government buy them up? It worked with Government Motors...or did it?

No one wants Boeing to crash and burn...

Remember, we have to keep jobs.

My last comment was sarcastic. I understand the need to keep Boeing alive.

Then again, isn't the point of capitalism to keep the good and do away with the bad? Should we keep bad companies around simply because they provide financial sustenance to citizens?

What you missed is that my comment was sarcastic. lol.

I say we let the free market take its course...

GM screwed up, and now they're paying. Let them die, and let Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi take their place. They did it right.
