I am having trouble coming up with a theme for my unit and i was wondering if I could get some help? The main thing the other cadets and i were thinking of was something involving earning your awards and showing them off. :dontgetit:

That seems like a shallow idea for a theme. What is the point of a theme?

When you say theme, do you mean like an objective? If so, building better citizens is a good start. :D

The point of a theme in my unit is to give the cadets a sense of what the goal of the year is in addition to the yearly goals. Ya its kind of like an objective but for individual cadets to strive for.

How about your signature line? Why just settle for good enough?

BTW in reference to your signature line, you might want to consider editing some of your posts.

I'm with the Sergeant on this: "Aim for the best and never anything rest," and then suppliment it with your yearly goals. Also to give more 'purpose' to each cadet's work, make yearly goals a little more individualized, as in community service for each (it will give a since of doing their part). Also, if you aren't already, offer a reward (a ribbon or medal or something) to the top cadet or top three or whatever to give the goals something tangible. Is that what you're looking for?
